Make Your Dreams Work for You.

When I was 8 years old I had two recurring dreams that came true and changed my whole life.  From that moment on I discovered the power of dreams. I grew up fascinated with them and I discovered that my mom and her mother were also avid dreamers. As an adult I created dream workshops which lead me to write my new book, Dream Talk, Your Hidden Biography. I would like to share some tips on how you can make your dreams work for you.

Most of us are comfortable with understanding that everything in our world has energy and dreams are no different. I believe that dreams are gifts from your soul and the blueprints to your future. Here are a few dream tips for you and how to make them work.

Recognizing guides in your dreams.

Can you remember a dream such as this?
You are driving a car and talking away to a passenger beside you who seems familiar but you really can’t identify them when you wake up. You wonder who that person was giving me such good advice or directions.  Yes, it is a guide!

Once in a dream, I was driving and came upon a construction site on the road and a construction worker with a stop sign flagged me down. He told me to take a detour on the right that was a half mile back and that I would make my destination as planned and he “winked” at me.  Of course, when I awoke, I realized I had been given direction from a guide. I thought about what the dream meant and when I applied it to a goal I was working on in business I understood the message. I took it to mean that I had to backtrack a bit and look at something from another perspective, perhaps with a stronger ‘base or foundation” and move in that direction and it was the right advice.

I wanted to be able to connect with guides from the time of recurring dreams as a child and my mother simple would say, ask them to come into your dreams.  They may have done so often enough but I did not have the skill as a child to understand all the symbolism of dreams and how I could make it work better for me.

Making your dreams work for you does require a bit of preparation, persistence and patience. Here are some guidelines to try.

If you have a specific question for your guides; think about it during the day. Going back to the dream with the construction worker, I may have asked the question “am I am on the right track with my business” or something to that effect and had I been thinking about it all day (as was likely); the dream brought me the answer.
We know how important intentions are so have some paper and a pen or pencil on your night table and tell yourself you will remember your dream and that you will receive an answer from your guides.
I have discovered that it may take 3 nights of asking the same question before you get the answer and often the answer will come in pieces over the 3 nights too.

Here are some ideas on what to ask your dreams/guides for:

1.When will I meet my soul mate/get married etc.?

You might see a calendar appear in a dream the first night. The second night, repeat the question and a date, time or number may appear.  The third night, a place may be dominant in the dream and a few weeks later you meet them at that place, date and time. This can happen often without our awareness of asking and we will often call it coincidence.

2.Should I move ahead with __________?
The dream may appear to be very positive or negative with a dream scene giving you an answer. Study it closely.

3.How do I know if it is a guide or not?
A guide will always appear to help you with advice or direction in a very positive way. They never give bad or negative advice. Once I asked a question and I was given a map in a dream with a circle around a town. I awoke knowing where I needed to go to find what I was looking for.

4.Should I marry the man I am with now?
This was asked by a client in a dream. She dreamt she was at a wedding and she was a bridesmaid not the bride. She took this to mean no to her question and she later married the man of her dreams, who appeared in a dream to her 6 months later!

I hope you are getting some ideas on how you can make your dreams work for you.

Dreams will often tell you when you have health problems, when you might change jobs or move away, who your guides are, how to manifest your desires and much more.

Dreams are a great tool and every dream has a message for you. You just have to take the time and patience to work with them.
